As I have mentioned before, we NEED salt. Period. The craze over a low salt diet goes back decades.  But why?

One of the main reasons behind sticking to a low salt diet is to lower heart disease and blood pressure, which are directly related to Type II Diabetes and Insulin Resistance.  But let’s take a look at this more closely.

In a study, one group had a salt heavy diet and one had a salt deficient diet.
Scientists then measured insulin sensitivity.
In the low sodium group, not only was there no significant change in blood pressure, but the fasting insulin level increased compared to the high sodium group.

In the high sodium group, their blood sugar decreased.
What did the study show? That sodium was shown to dramatically lower blood sugar and insulin and not affect blood pressure.

Why doctors look to sodium as the culprit of heart disease is because most people with heart disease are eating highly processed foods, including the wrong kind of mineral-depleted salt and inflammatory ingredients including vegetable oils. The combination of carbohydrates, processed foods, cheap sodium and inflammatory oils will cause not only heart disease, but high blood pressure, diabetes, and other chronic diseases.

How Can Salt Affect Your Sugar Cravings?

If you are depleted of sodium, it will evoke a process in the central nervous system that induces the motivated state to satisfy the sodium appetite.  But, where this messaging goes haywire is that the message can actually trigger cravings for sugar.
Neurons start responding to sweets such as sucrose in response to the sodium cravings.  And when you eat the sugar, your brain gets the signals mixed up, and it thinks the salt cravings are satisfied.

Just from doing this a few times, your brain has created a habit loop of satisfying sodium needs with a sugar craving.

Where salt goes, water goes. When you consume mineral depleted salt in combination with processed carbs, your body will reduce its production of urine and hold on to the water, and it will stay in the blood. As the water increases in the blood, the volume and pressure of blood increase.  This is why doctors think lowering salt in your diet will reduce blood pressure and heart disease.

In fact, it is the lowering of processed foods, sugars, and carbs that will lead to lower insulin, and in turn will reverse Type II Diabetes, Insulin Resistance, Heart Disease, and High Blood Pressure.  As you lower the carbs, increase a high quality mineral salt, like Accelerated Ancient Salt which contains more than 60 natural minerals beyond just sodium, your appetite is satisfied as your cravings for sodium and sweets decrease, and your body is replenished with plenty of sodium.

How Much Salt Do You Need On a Keto Diet?

If you are following a ketogenic diet or a fasting protocol, you are most likely in a sodium deprived state.
When you are on a low-carb diet or intermittent fasting, your kidneys release water and salt; where water goes, salt goes. This is due to the fact that when insulin is suppressed, the kidneys are told to release extra sodium.
On the contrary, when you are eating a high carbohydrate diet, which is also full of the wrong kind of salt, absent of all the other essential minerals, the kidneys will retain water and cause bloat, water retention, and back up.

Therefore, if you are following a ketogenic or low-carb diet, it is imperative to increase your sodium and total mineral intake with the proper salt, like Accelerated Ancient Salt. If you are experiencing sugar or salt cravings, you are most likely needing more salt.  It is recommended you consume at least 1 to 6 teaspoons a day.

The Truth Behind Popular Salt Sources

Iodized Salt

Sodium from iodized salt, or from restaurant food, makes matters worse.
Not only are those salts full of microplastics, but they are also missing the other essential minerals, and you will become more bloated in the gut and in the face, experience edema, or retain excess water.  These salts are not repleting you with proper sodium.

Sea Salt

This is better than iodized salt, but it still only has iron and zinc and a few trace minerals.

Pink Himalayan Salt

This is better than iodized salt, but many sources aren’t 100% honest about what it contains.

What is the Best Source of Salt?

Accelerated Ancient Salt

There are 60 minerals we need; all of the minerals you need are contained in Accelerated Ancient SaltAccelerated Ancient Salt has no chemicals, plastics or toxins in it, contains the full spectrum of needed minerals and is Scalar Charged with Frequencies to detox the body from radiation and heavy metals; no other salt comes close.

How to Improve Insulin Sensitivity and Satisfy Your Salt Cravings?

Accelerated Ancient Salt

By just putting a pinch of Accelerated Ancient Salt on your tongue, your cravings and appetite are suppressed and your blood sugar is lowered.

Accelerated Ancient Salt is composed of raw, unbleached, unheated, unrefined ancient seabed and sea salt from pristine sources in the Andes, Himalayas and the U.S. without stabilizers, chemicals or plastics like most salts.  Furthermore, it is charged with Scalar Frequencies to help detox the body of heavy metals and radiation.  It may replenish electrolytes, suppress appetite and sugar cravings, lower blood sugar, alleviate nausea, and tastes amazing! It also has a strong negative charge to help “pull out” positively charged toxins, parasites and undigested fats.

Acceleradine

Iodine has been shown to decrease insulin needs in diabetics in addition to improving thyroid health. The thyroid is the master endocrine gland and controls blood sugar.
Acceleradine is the only iodine supplement that is 100% absorbed by the cells, whereas most iodine only has
10-20 % absorption rate. It is enhanced with Scalar Frequencies to detox the cells from radiation and heavy metals.

Accelerated Keto

This not only lowers your insulin resistance and blood sugar, but it provides sustained physical and mental energy, suppresses appetite and cravings, converts fat to energy efficiently, and improves metabolism. Accelerated Keto includes additional fat burning ingredients that de-fat the liver specifically; no other keto supplement incorporates these ingredients. It is lipotropic, meaning it breaks down saturated fats into unsaturated fats. These unsaturated fats are easier for the body to utilize and easier for the body to convert to ketones.

Imagine a wax candle that is solid, and when we light the candle, the solid wax (fat) turns into a liquid, which is then taken up by the wick to burn easily. Because of this property, it is able to de-fat the liver as well.

It is well known that the liver is responsible for converting stored fat into ketones. It is the liver that produces the ketones from fats. The more a person’s liver is defatted and unclogged, the easier it is for the liver to function in all areas including producing ketones. The liver is also where the thyroid hormone converts from T4 to T3, and as the liver function becomes better, the thyroid works better as well, increasing metabolism further.  This mechanism leads to diminishing liver fat, visceral fat, and subcutaneous fat.

Accelerated Keto also contains HMB which is directly related to preventing muscle loss while losing body fat.  It helps the kidneys “let go” of water weight and reduces overall edema and inflammation.

Quinton Isotonic

Quinton Isotonic provides almost the exact ratio of minerals found in the human body’s blood plasma.  It helps restore homeostasis and natural rehydration, as it supplies the total iono-minerals to the extracellular fluid.  Furthermore, it supports normal cellular osmosis and normal digestion and production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach.

Quinton Hypertonic

This supports electrolyte balance, normal energy metabolism, and improved alertness.  It also improves the normal functioning of the nervous system, protein synthesis, bone formation, and normal muscle function.  It will help with energy during exertion related to major physical or psychological effort.

Active H2 Hydrogen Water

Active H2 Hydrogen Water helps support the decrease of blood sugar levels, bad cholesterol, and is anti-inflammatory.  It is the most powerful antioxidant available.  It may help increase mental and physical energy.

Wild- Lytes

Wild-Lytes goes beyond the scope of a simple electrolyte formula to target the effects of daily stress, inflammation, adrenal fatigue, and immune disruption at a cellular level, providing a foundation for whole-body health.

Unlike many electrolyte supplements, nothing in this formulation down-regulates phase one liver detoxification or blocks sulfation pathways for oxalate metabolism.

Wild-Lytes helps to support:

  • Hydration & Electrolyte Balance
