Bacteriophage: Not Your Usual Probiotic

by Sara Banta | Mar 17, 2019 | Articles, Gut Health

As many of you know, my biggest personal health issue has been my GUT. Because of this, I am constantly in search of the best products for digestive health. So, you will always know that regardless of what I promote, if I find something better, I will quickly let you know! Which is why I’m excited to share with you about a break-through product I’ve discovered.

EcoPhage: A Metabolic Superpower for Beneficial Bacteria In Your Gut

EcoPhage has helped my Gut even more as I have added it into my Gut regimen that includes the Keto diet, Intermittent fasting, ION* Gut Health (formerly RESTORE), Probiotics, and Accelerated Leaky Gut Bundle . The cool thing is, that once you have taken a good month of the above supplements daily, you can lower your dosage per week. I have had clients with really tough cases of SIBO or IBS and finally they feel a significant difference with Ecophage added into their program.

What Does EcoPhage Do?

Ecophage takes the gut healing to the next level. Within a few hours or days, the powerful bacteriophages in EcoPhage devitalize bad bacteria and pathogens in your digestive tract that cause most digestive problems, and promote a healthy immune system!

  • Supports and Maintains your healthy intestinal tract
  • Promotes a healthy immune system and function, to help your body protect against infection naturally
  • Supports gut health and gut functions by supporting normal gut microbiota and the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut, which naturally limits the growth of other harmful bacteria
  • Dissolves biofilms produced by bacteria that make them resistant to antibiotics
  • Stimulates the colon to maintain healthy microbiota!
  • Stimulates the proliferation of beneficial bacteria that comprise a healthy colon!
  • Supports a healthy urinary tract
  • Supports heart health
  • Helps regulate healthy cholesterol levels that are already within normal range
  • May relieve occasional stomach discomfort

Can a Bacteriophage formula like EcoPhage Help Digestion Issues Like IBS and SIBO?

Anyone who suffers from SIBO or digestive disorders will benefit greatly from this cutting-edge new product, based on years of research and education. For those navigating SIBO, specifically, it’s important to remember that SIBO is often the sign of a problem, not the problem itself. And to get rid of SIBO, you may need to correct a deeper imbalance. I have had clients with really tough cases of SIBO or IBS and finally they feel a significant difference with Ecophage added into their program.

There are three ways the bacteriophages in Ecophage can help SIBO and IBS:

#1: Bacteriophages, like EcoPhage selectively target specific, harmful bacteria while leaving beneficial microbes to flourish. (This was pioneered in Europe before the advent of antibiotics.)

#2: Bacteriophages are NOT your usual probiotic — they work with your probiotic! They are especially beneficial when used in conjunction with a probiotic, because they act like advanced troops to clear the way for beneficial bacteria to flourish!

#3: Laboratory studies show that when probiotics and phages are used in combination, beneficial bacteria grow to thousands of times their baseline rate.

In addition to a good probiotic and bacteriophage formula like EcoPhage, what else can you do for better gut health?

5 Digestive Tips to Help You Feel Less Bloated!

#1: I am not a proponent of grains, regardless of if you are on a ketogenic diet or not. But if you do decide to eat them, wait three hours after eating a grain-based meal before you have a protein meal.

#2: After a protein meal, give yourself four hours to fully digest. Assist Enzymes are a must for helping digest these meals.

#3: Stevia can be used as a calorie-free natural sugar substitute to satisfy sugar cravings. My favorite brand is NuNaturals. I love using their NuStevia Vanilla and Chocolate syrups in my Keto Shakes.

#4: Try not to drink cold water during meals. This is a tough one for me! A cup of warm tea, especially a ginger or lemon tea and even adding Apple Cider Vinegar, will aid digestion. Avoid ice when you drink water. Stick to room temp water that doesn’t shock your body and do not drink for at least 15 minutes before you eat or one hour after a meal.
