Essential Daily Supplements for Women and Men’s Health

by Sara Banta | Oct 30, 2023 | AHP News, Men's Health, Supplements, Women's Health

I always thought I was living a “healthy lifestyle.” I ate “clean,” exercised, and took care of my body.  However, when I found myself at “rock bottom,” I was depleted of nutrients, bloated, and suffering from Crohn’s disease and colitis, heavy metal poisoning, PCOS, insulin resistance, and more.

Why We Need Supplements

In the last 20 years, many factors have changed making dietary supplements essential.

  • Depleted Soils.  Because our soils are depleted of the needed minerals and vitamins they once had, our fruits and vegetables don’t contain the nutrients they once had.  In fact, you would have to eat 50 peaches today to equal the nutrition in a peach from 1950!
  • Nutrient Deficiencies. Individuals with nutrient deficiencies due to poor dietary habits, specific medical conditions, or limited access to certain foods need supplements to meet their nutritional needs. In fact, eating just one meal consisting of processed foods will cause leaky gut and malabsorption of future nutrients coming into the body.
  • Restrictive Diets. People following restrictive diets (e.g., vegans, vegetarians) may require supplements to ensure they obtain essential protein, vitamins and minerals that may be lacking in their diet.
  • Health Conditions and Diseases Certain medical conditions, diseases, or illnesses may increase nutrient requirements, making it challenging to obtain sufficient nutrients solely from food. Supplements can help bridge the gap.
  • Aging: Aging can affect nutrient absorption and utilization. Older adults tend to have lower rates of nutrient absorption and may benefit from supplements to ensure they meet their nutrient requirements for optimal health and well-being. For instance, protein requirements actually increase with age due to decreased absorption.
  • Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: During pregnancy and breastfeeding, nutrient needs increase significantly. Supplements such as iodine, folic acid, copper, and prenatal vitamins are often recommended to support the health of both mother and baby.
  • Physical Activity and Athletes: Intense physical activity can increase nutrient needs, and athletes may require supplements to support energy, muscle recovery, and overall performance. These include extra electrolytes (salt, magnesium, potassium, etc), protein, and water.
  • Digestive Disorders: Individuals with digestive disorders: IBS, SIBO, leaky gut, malabsorption issues, or gastrointestinal surgeries may have difficulty absorbing certain nutrients. Supplements can provide necessary vitamins and minerals in a more absorbable form.
  • Geographical and Environmental Factors: People residing in areas with limited access to diverse, nutrient-rich foods or regions with nutrient-depleted soils may need supplements to compensate for nutrient deficiencies.
  • Stress and Lifestyle Factors: High-stress levels, busy lifestyles, and inadequate sleep can affect nutrient absorption and utilization. Stress can cause leaky gut, malabsorption and either a loss of appetite or an increased appetite for processed foods that are void of nutritional value. Lack of sleep can lead to insulin resistance, malabsorption of nutrients and increased appetite for processed foods that lack nutrients as well. Supplements can help manage the impact of stress on the body in addition to lowering stress.
  • Supporting Specific Health Goals: Supplements can aid in achieving specific health goals such as weight management, athletic performance, improved immune function, better skin health, enhanced cognitive function, or stronger bones and joints.
  • Suboptimal Thyroid. Most people today suffer from sluggish metabolism and suboptimal thyroid function. The thyroid is the master endocrine gland, which means that not only is metabolism, body fat management, and energy affected by the thyroid’s function, but also the adrenals, fertility, kidneys, liver, water retention, digestion and hormones are affected. In other words, if the thyroid isn’t optimized, all of the other organs suffer.

As I was on my journey, and began using supplements to bridge my daily food intake, my health improved.

The reality is that in a new era of nutrient depleted soils and heavy toxicity, it is now ESSENTIAL to use nutritional supplements to fill in the gaps of our diet and aid in detoxification of toxins our ancestors never faced.

In the 2023 CRN Consumer Survey on Dietary Supplements, it was revealed that a significant majority of Americans, specifically 75%, incorporate dietary supplements into their daily routine, with 55% being consistent users.

Remarkably, a staggering 95% of supplement users express confidence in both the safety and efficacy of these dietary additions.

Essential Daily Supplements For Women and Men’s Health

Because of the reasons above, there are some necessary dietary supplements for both men and women to achieve optimal health and longevity.

Acceleradine Iodine

96 percent of the U.S. population is deficient in iodine; it is no longer available in sufficient amounts in our diet. It once was put in iodized salt, but now not only is there not enough provided through salt, but the iodine source is usually toxic and difficult for the body to break down.

Iodine is necessary for the following:

    • Helps reverse hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s, and hyperthyroidism.
    • Helps improve metabolism and fat oxidation.
    • Helps support apoptosis, which is the destruction of diseased and unhealthy cells.
    • Helps increase ATP production which is the cells’ energy; it can produce 36 ATP through the Krebs cycle compared to only 2 ATP when the body is low in iodine.
    • Helps prevent PCOS, fibrocystic breast disease, and hormonal imbalances.
    • Helps alleviate estrogen dominance in men and women.
    • Helps decrease blood sugar and insulin resistance.
    • Helps improve protein synthesis.
    • Helps devitalize bacteria, viruses, mold, fungus, parasites and other foreign pathogens.
    • Helps reduce systemic inflammation; inflammation is the root cause of most diseases.
    • Helps regulate estrogen in the body and decrease the risks for stillbirths, miscarriages, and low birth weight infants.
    • Helps hydrate the cells by neutralizing hydroxyl ions.
    • Helps alleviate brain fog and improve IQ.
    • Helps lower the risk for heart disease; the thyroid regulates the heart and hypothyroid is connected to heart disease.
    • Helps protect against radiation.
    • Helps support healthy fetal growth.
    • Helps strengthen the immune system.
    • Helps break apart scar tissue.
    • Helps strengthen spiritual development.

Acceleradine Iodine is a superior liquid iodine as it is highly bioavailable and has the added benefit of being scalar charged

Accelerated Ancient Salt

Salt has been demonized in the last few decades, but the reality is that complete salts with the full array of minerals and electrolytes is an imperative factor when it comes to optimal health.

The benefits of salt include:

    • Provides Minerals. Complete salts contain all of the trace minerals needed for the body including potassium, magnesium, calcium, and iron; these minerals are responsible for maintaining electrolytes, muscle functions and bone health.
    • Optimizes Cellular Function. The sodium-potassium pump is responsible for driving nutrients into the cells and driving toxins out of the cells for all 100 trillion cells in the body. The minerals in Accelerated Ancient Salt help optimize this function, which expedites detoxification and improves nutrient absorption.
    • Lowers Blood Sugar. Most people suffer from high blood sugar; the minerals in Accelerated Ancient Salt help lower blood sugar and insulin levels.
    • Lowers Heart Disease. Highly processed foods with the wrong type of salt may increase heart disease due to the combination of salt, fat, sugar, and processed ingredients; a complete salt like Accelerated Ancient Salt actually will lower the risk of heart disease.

Accelerated Scalar Copper

Copper, recognized for its natural antibiotic properties and nutritional significance for over 8,000 years, is known as one of the main needed supplements for men and women. From Hippocrates’ recommendations around 400 B.C. to contemporary research, the multifaceted roles of copper in the human body and the advantages of copper supplementation have gained recognition.

The Role of Copper in the Body

Copper, while the body’s third most abundant mineral, remains a vital nutrient that the body cannot produce itself. It plays a pivotal role in organ function and metabolic processes, with a focus on cellular absorption to alleviate copper deficiency and bolster the immune system. The majority of copper is found in the liver, brain, kidneys, heart, and skeletal muscles. It contributes significantly to collagen formation, fat burning, insulin regulation, iron absorption, and energy production.

Symptoms of Copper Deficiency

Copper depletion in recent years can be attributed to increased consumption of processed foods and the presence of the Spike Protein. These factors have been independently linked to accelerated copper loss in the body. Additionally, heightened zinc intake during the pandemic, aimed at boosting immunity, can inhibit copper absorption. Symptoms of copper deficiency are frequently misdiagnosed as other health issues and include fat gain, anemia, bone abnormalities, osteoporosis, neuropathy, low neutrophil count (a type of white blood cell), weakened immunity, impaired growth, premature graying of hair, and pale skin.

Health Benefits of Copper

Copper offers a diverse array of health benefits, including:

    • Supporting Insulin Regulation and Diabetic Treatment. Copper plays a role in managing insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes.
    • Lowers Uric Acid.  Copper is crucial for reducing uric acid, which is a key component in preventing insulin resistance and obesity.  It inhibits the Polyol Pathway, which is responsible for converting glucose into sorbitol and fructose. Fructose leads to the accelerated development of fatty liver, insulin resistance, and fat storage.
    • Improves Fat Loss.  Because copper helps manage uric acid levels and insulin resistance, it helps with fat loss.
    • Optimal Fetal Growth and Development. Vital for safeguarding fetal skeletal, nervous, and cardiovascular systems, copper ensures healthy growth.
    • Improving Hair and Eye Pigmentation. As a fundamental component of melanin, copper helps maintain natural pigmentation in the skin, hair, and eyes.
    • Improving Brain Function. Often referred to as the “smart” mineral, copper enhances cognitive abilities, creativity, and brain activity.
    • Increasing Energy Levels. Copper aids in red blood cell production, prevents anemia, and supports energy extraction from carbohydrates, combating fatigue.
    • Enhancing Immunity. By preventing anemia and helping the needed iron that is already in the body move to where it is needed, copper improves the body’s ability to defend and heal while acting as an antioxidant.
    • Improving Connective Tissues. Copper is essential for collagen, myelin, and melanin production, supporting connective tissues and skin elasticity.
    • Assisting Enzymatic Reactions. Needed for many enzymatic processes in the body, copper contributes to efficient metabolic functions, hormonal regulation, and metabolism.
    • Supporting Cardiovascular Health. Copper helps with the development and maintenance of the cardiovascular and nervous systems.
    • Improving Iron and Sugar Absorption. Copper aids in the absorption and utilization of iron and other minerals, supporting red blood cell production and preventing iron deficiency issues.
    • Reducing Cholesterol. Copper has been linked to lowering “bad” cholesterol (LDL) and increasing “good” cholesterol (HDL), reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
    • Regulates Triglycerides.  Copper aids in keeping triglycerides at a healthy level and preventing the accumulation of fat in the liver.
    • Improving Thyroid Health. Copper is essential for proper thyroid gland function and metabolism.
    • Enhancing Skin Health. Vital for collagen production, copper sustains skin integrity, elasticity, and reduces wrinkles.
    • Preventing Osteoporosis: Copper contributes to bone formation by supporting collagen, a crucial component of bones.

Dietary Sources of Copper

Copper-rich foods include liver, meat, seafood, beans, whole grains, soy flour, wheat bran, almonds, garlic, nuts, oats, molasses, beets, and lentils. However, relying solely on dietary sources may not always suffice due to the potential presence of plant-based compounds like lectins, mold, or oxalates, which can contribute to inflammation and hinder nutrient absorption. This emphasizes the need for copper supplementation.

Accelerated Thyroid

So much of the population suffers from low functioning thyroid due to excess toxins, heavy metals, radiation, oxalates and processed ingredients in food. These elements attach themselves to the thyroid receptor sites and back up the liver where the inactive thyroid hormones convert into the active thyroid hormones.

Low thyroid function can lead to the following:

    • Weight gain
    • Water retention
    • Fatigue
    • Hair loss
    • Low libido
    • Infertility
    • Depression and mood disorders
    • Brain fog
    • Constipation
    • Hormonal imbalances

Accelerated Thyroid combines three formulas in one:

    1. Kanchnar Guggulu. This is an ancient Ayurvedic herbal formula known to help hypothyroidism, obesity, thyroid cyst or nodules, PCOS, fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, detox, and lymphatic drainage.
    2. Thyroid Glandular and Cutting Edge Nutraceuticals. This provides all of the necessary amino acids and natural substances to support thyroid health.
    3. Scalar Frequencies. The formula is then charged with restorative healing frequencies to help restore healthy thyroid function, and detox the thyroid of toxins, heavy metals and radiation.

BIOptimizers Magnesium Breakthrough

Most people find themselves deficient in magnesium even if they are supplementing with it. Magnesium is responsible for over 600 biochemical reactions in the body.

Magnesium helps:

    • Manufacture DNA
    • Promote heart health
    • Improve stress response and ability to relax
    • Improve mood and mental health
    • Metabolize insulin and manage blood glucose
    • Prevent Alzheimer’s
    • Maintain healthy blood pressure
    • Alleviate migraines
    • Sleep
    • Support fitness performance and recovery
    • Alleviate muscle cramps
    • Improve bone density
    • Support vitamin D activation

Some of the foods high in magnesium have plant poisons like oxalates, lectins, or sulfur, where the damage to the body from these elements outweigh the magnesium included; in fact, the plant poisons may cause malabsorption as well, inhibiting any of the actual absorption of the magnesium.

Magnesium Breakthrough by BIOptimizers is the only magnesium supplement that offers all seven types of magnesium needed to reach every tissue in the body and alleviate any magnesium deficiency symptoms.

Additional Supplements to Enhance Health

Accelerated Fast

Many people today are suffering from insulin resistance and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. Accelerated Fast helps reverse both of those diseases quicker than any other natural supplement. Accelerated Fast kicks the body into a state of ketosis, and burns its own body fat for fuel, specifically liver fat. In fact, it actually converts saturated liver fat into unsaturated fat, while detoxing the liver gently on a daily basis. Moreover, Accelerated Fast increases ATP, cellular energy, by 5 to 10 times, which increases mitochondrial health, physical energy and performance.

Most people are addicted to carbs, sugar and processed foods; Accelerated Fast suppresses these food cravings and aids in successful intermittent fasting, which encourages healing of the gut, reduction of systemic inflammation, and lowered blood sugar.

Accelerated Colloidal Silver

With the increased amount of foreign pathogens we are facing, including viruses, bacteria, parasites, candida, and fungus, it is imperative to strengthen the immune system. Accelerated Colloidal Silver not only helps devitalize foreign pathogens in the short term, but also prevents future pathogens from overtaking the system. Moreover, it helps with systemic cold and flus, food poisoning, bladder infections, sinus infections, acne, gut issues and more.

Ola Loa

Since we suffer from deficiencies in most vitamins and minerals, Ola Loa provides a combination of minerals, vitamins, and amino acids to cover the overall nutrient needs and help with quick recovery from stress, sports, and the rigors of life daily. Furthermore, it is the most powerful supplement to control homocysteine and support methylation, which troubles over 50 percent of the population.

Accelerated Liver Flush Cleanse

The liver has become overburdened with the exponential increase of toxins, radiation, heavy metals, xeno-estrogens, processed foods, and now the Spike Protein. All of these factors independently slow down the detoxification pathways of the liver which, in turn, inhibits fat burning, nutrient absorption, thyroid function, insulin regulation, inflammation management, and more.

The Accelerated Liver Flush Cleanse helps to:

    • Lower uric acid and improve insulin sensitivity
    • Improve protein and fat metabolism
    • Reduce inflammation, aches, and cramping
    • Reduce AST and ALT liver enzymes
    • Regenerate new liver cells
    • Alleviate fatty liver
    • Detox the body of xenoestrogens, toxins, heavy metals, and radiation
    • Improve cholesterol levels
    • Removes blockages in the liver and gallbladder
    • Improves the immune system
    • Regenerate the liver and gallbladder

Accelerated Leaky Gut Bundle

Due to the increased toxins, GMOs, xenoestrogens, radiation, processed foods, and stress, man people suffer from leaky gut. With leaky gut, malabsorption of nutrients becomes inevitable, even with supplementation. In other words, supplements cannot fully work if you have a leaky gut.

The combination of Megapre, Megaspore, and Megamucosa help heal leaky gut, make it more resilient against foreign pathogens and elements that cause dysbiosis, SIBO, IBS and other gut conditions. Additionally, the combination has been shown to decrease visceral fat by 45% in just 8 weeks. Visceral fat is correlated to many metabolic diseases.

Dietary Changes to Help Supercharge Your Supplements

It is known that protein is an important macronutrient to focus on; however in this new era, it is important to choose the right kind of protein for optimal nutrition and assimilation within the body. Wild animal protein, like bison, lamb, elk, deer, grass-fed beef, wild fish, cornish game hen, and duck are more nutrient dense and easier to digest than other proteins.

In fact, these are foods that have more vitamins and minerals than even the vegetables on our planet due to the depleted soils that fruits and vegetables grow in.

Protein sources like chicken, turkey, pork and conventionally raised beef are detrimental to the body for myriad reasons. First, they contain proteins called amyloids that are difficult for the body to break down into amino acids for the utilization of tissue and muscle repair. Additionally, these amyloids actually cause gut pathogens to wreak havoc on the gut, leading to leaky gut and dysbiosis, in addition to being stored in joints and brain, leading to dementia, arthritis and other inflammatory chronic issues.

Eliminate Sulfur

Sulfur-containing foods and supplements are touted to be healthy, but due to the glyphosate and GMOs infiltrating our food system, our sulfur detoxification pathways have been hijacked. As a result, our bodies are unable to detox and metabolize sulfur foods which then actually back up our livers, causing a cascade of health issues. Those sulfur foods include cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, onions, garlic, and egg yolks. Once the gut is healed, you may be able to tolerate these foods in moderation.

Eliminate Oxalates

Oxalates are found in foods such as spinach, kale, almonds, most nuts, berries, and chocolate. Oxalates have been connected to kidney stones, urogenital disease, arthritis, joint pain, hypothyroidism, inflammation, nutrient malabsorption and gut issues.

Eliminate Mold

Foods such as peas, grapes, mushrooms, non-organic coffee, corn, lentils, soy, aged cheese, and peanuts can perpetuate a vicious cycle leading to chronic health issues. Mold produces oxalates, oxalates and amyloids lead to biofilm formation, and the biofilm further strengthens the mold, bacteria and viruses – it is a vicious cycle.  Symptoms of mold sickness include memory issues, cognitive impairment, anxiety, dysbiosis, hormonal dysregulation, diabetes, hypothyroidism, menstrual issues, arthritis and more.

Drink Water

Most people are drinking caffeinated drinks, soda, and juices, and have forgotten the benefits of just plain water. You need the electrolytes with the water for true hydration and proper cellular energy. Water and Accelerated Ancient Salt help flush out the toxins, rehydrate the cells, and increase energy.

Exercise

We have become a sedentary population which has created an increase in insulin resistance and related diseases. Moving your body helps with circulation, cardiovascular health, improved mood, insulin sensitivity, and much more.

Sleep

Sleep is the cornerstone of health. Without it, everything above will lose its effectiveness. Every human being needs 7 to 8 hours of sleep to restore the body and the mind, regulate hormone balance, lower insulin resistance, and set you up for optimal health.
